async
An exploration on free-form text expression.
In a world filled with distracting interfaces and algorithmically prioritized content, what does it mean to share your art?
async is a mobile application concept for writers who want to share their works of poetry, prose, fiction, essay, or free-form text-based thoughts without the distractions of modern UI and algorithms. async prioritizes simplicity and content-centered UI, choosing to favor no creator in particular to allow for organic engagement and genuine interactions with shared content. async's design is inspired by minimalist aesthetics and other social media platforms.
async was developed by Stephanie Choi and Vivian Jiang leveraging React Native and the storage and database capabilities of Google Firebase.
